ShawlineX DIN features ARAY conductor geometry. Similar in design to Clearway but with heavier gauge silver-plated, multi-strand, OFC conductors and the latest XLPE insulation. Complex high-frequency shielding protects the signal from HF noise. Fitted with ChorAlloy™ plated connectors or contact areas/pins.

Connections include 4pin, 5pin, 8pin DIN-DIN in all the many variants as well as RCA-DIN, DIN-RCA, DIN-XLR, XLR-DIN and 240 degree SNAIC configurations.

Available in standard 1m or custom lengths to order.

Why XLPE?

The construction and specification of all Chord Company cables are constantly evolving, allowing them to adapt quickly and take advantage of the latest technology. Insulation materials in particular have made great leaps forward which is why they are moving to XLPE (cross-linked polyethylene) for ShawlineX ARAY.

After a succesful introduction via various Chord Company speaker cables it was logical to share the benefits of XLPE insulation with their interconnects. On the surface this would appear to be a fairly simple undertaking but, like many of these things, it got complicated..

Several versions and much field testing later Chord are very happy to announce that XLPE will now be incorporated into all ShawlineX analogue interconnects. The new upgraded ShawlineX ARAY analogue cable retains the same high-performance shielding architecture and ARAY technology as its predecessor.

• Ensure all equipment is switched off before fitting or removing your cables.
• Connect the cable ensuring the arrow on the cable points away from the source component.
• When fitting or removing cables, hold the plug and apply a gentle twisting motion.
• Never pull the cable directly.
• Avoid touching the contact areas on the plug.
• Ensure you route the cable away from speaker and power cables.
