The cables are high pressure crimped of professional crimping tool AIRLOC HIGH PERFORMANCE TERMINATION (for maximum contact surface area) To a Very high quality 24 gold-plated AIRLOC 4mm Banana plugs at the both side, and all ends finished with colour coded black and red (gold arrows) directional double heat shrink sleeves.

 

NOTE: The cables are directional so prior to connecting, make sure that the arrows run from the amplifier to the speakers terminals.

 

AIRLOC a solder-free, airtight perfect fusion between the two metals of cable and plug. This ‘cold weld’ method allows the cable and plug to offer the optimum signal transfer and therefore, better sound quality. It also reduces contact resistance and ensures perfect long-term performance.

The performance has recently been significantly improved by changing the insulation from FEP to XLPE. Hence the new name. Choice of insulation has a profound effect on a speaker cable and contributes to its neutrality. The wrong choice of insulation can produce unwanted tonal colouration.

The conductors are arranged in a twisted pair configuration before a soft PVC internal jacket is applied, this helps to minimise mechanical noise and also spaces the twin contra-wound foil shields in relation to the conductors.
